Alisdair leads the engineering and design of Janus by NavigateX, the strategic GPS platform that sits at the center of NavigateX's work.
He brings more than two decades of experience building mission-critical software across deeply different industries, including agricultural automation, public safety, and education. He has a particular track record for designing systems that are robust under load, deeply useful to the people who depend on them, and architected for the long run. He joined NavigateX from RethinkX, where he led engineering and built the analytical and modeling infrastructure behind a body of widely cited public research.
Among the applications and platforms he has built are the Auckland City Civil Defense app (used by hundreds of thousands of New Zealanders) and the Blerter Events platform (used across sports and entertainment operations globally). The pattern across his work is the same: technology that does serious work, quietly and well.
At NavigateX, Alisdair shapes how the science of disruption becomes software. That includes the deterministic modeling core, the AI layers that surround it, the auditability and explainability disciplines that make Janus board-ready, and the human and agentic interfaces that put the platform in the hands of strategy teams and the AI systems they increasingly run alongside.
