About NavigateX

Disruption economics, made operational.

NavigateX exists to turn the science of technological disruption into the decisions, models, and strategic outputs senior leaders can act on.

We do that through Janus by NavigateX, our strategic GPS platform, delivered through expert-led Audits.

01 What we believe

A once-in-a-civilization reordering is underway.

A once-in-a-civilization reordering is underway across energy, food, materials, transport, and labor. The cost curves of clean energy, precision fermentation, autonomous transport, and humanoid robotics are not slowing down; they are accelerating. The institutions that price this in linearly will be wrong by orders of magnitude, in both directions: in the assets that strand, and in the value that is being created.

We exist to make that reordering legible and actionable for the people who run institutions. Our work rests on three convictions.

Disruption is mathematical, not narrative

Technology adopts on S-curves. Cost curves bend. Convergences trigger phase changes.

These dynamics can be modeled, audited, and tested. They are not opinions and they are not vibes.

Strategy that ignores them is wishful thinking with a Gantt chart.

Sectors do not move in isolation

Energy disruption changes the cost of food. Cheaper food changes the case for land. Cheaper labor changes the politics of industry.

The most consequential strategic moves of the next decade sit at the points where sectors collide.

Translation is the bottleneck

The science of disruption is well understood by a small community. The decisions are being made by a much larger one, often using frameworks that pre-date the science.

Closing that gap (turning research into board-ready decisions) is the job we set out to do.

02 What we do

We build and operate Janus. We deliver it through Audits.

Where conventional strategy tools assume the future is a slightly faster version of the past, Janus models the cost curves, system dynamics, and cross-sector convergences that determine how the next two decades will actually play out. Read the platform thesis.

We deliver Janus through Audits: managed, expert-led engagements that configure the platform to a client's context, transfer the thinking to the client's team, and produce a board-ready strategic output.

Four Audits exist today

Disruption Audit

Cross-sector engagement for institutions whose exposure spans more than one of the disrupting sectors. The right starting point when the question is "where is our entire portfolio exposed?".

See the platform

Energy Audit

For asset owners, utilities, governments, and data center operators. Build the cheapest possible energy system for your location, modeled against the technology curves of the day you actually buy.

Explore Energy

Humanoid Labor Audit

For organizations with workforce risk and opportunity from the humanoid robotics crossover. Map exposure, plan the augmentation strategy, model the capital transition.

Explore Workforce

Food System Audit

For producers, regulators, sovereign funds, and indigenous groups. Strategy for the precision fermentation, cellular agriculture, and vertical farming transition.

Explore Food System

Each Audit ends not with a report, but with a configured Janus environment the client's team operates day-to-day. Strategy stops being an annual artifact. It becomes a living capability.

03 NavigateX and RethinkX

The commercial spin-out of RethinkX.

NavigateX and RethinkX are sister organizations in an arms-length partnership. Both exist to accelerate humanity's transition through technological disruption. We do that work in two very different ways.

RethinkX

The research

RethinkX is an independent, US-based 501(c)(3) non-profit research organization. It analyzes and predicts the speed and scale of technology disruption, and publishes its core research free and open to all.

How the two organizations relate

Several members of the NavigateX team have contributed to RethinkX research over the years. Our founder, Richard Gill, is a previous CEO of RethinkX. The two organizations stay in close intellectual contact: we attribute RethinkX's primary research cleanly, and a portion of NavigateX revenue supports the RethinkX non-profit mission. The partnership gives NavigateX provenance, and gives RethinkX an operational route to impact.

04 How we work

Four operating principles.

Strategic level, plain language

Our clients are senior decision-makers: CEOs, CIOs, sovereign-fund executives, ministers, board chairs, founders.

We write and speak for that level. Define jargon on first use. Cut anything that does not change a decision.

Global, with a developing-economy lean

We operate globally and work with organizations of every size. We pay particular attention to non-western, developing, and small economies.

Those economies are often the hardest hit by the disruption of legacy industries, and the most able to leapfrog directly to the new system because they carry less incumbency.

Transfer of capability, not extraction of fees

The point of an Audit is not to make the client dependent on us. The point is to install the framework, hand over the running system, and free the team to use it.

Long-running advisory work happens, but only when the client wants it; the default is capability transfer.

Built for humans and for agents

Janus has two surfaces. The Janus Navigator is the immersive, board-ready interface where strategy teams explore scenarios. The Janus API exposes the same core logic to internal AI tools and agentic workflows.

The question is not "do we use AI?" but "does our strategic intelligence layer plug into the AI we already use?".

05 The team

A small group, by design.

NavigateX is a team of entrepreneurs, investors, scientists, software engineers, and strategists. We are a small group by design: senior, hands-on, globally distributed, and built around the disciplines that matter for the work. We are backed by an Advisory Board of researchers and senior practitioners whose expertise informs the platform and the engagements.
