Owen is a member of the NavigateX Research Advisory Board and a researcher on the RethinkX team. He applies mathematical modeling to the analysis of complex systems, with a particular focus on the disruption of fossil-fuel electricity systems by solar, wind, and batteries.
His work centers on the quantitative models that describe how these technologies (and the storage and grid architectures around them) will reorder the economics of electricity over the next two decades. That work provides a rigorous, data-driven foundation for several of the energy-side models NavigateX uses in its Audits.
Owen holds a PhD in pure mathematics from the University of Melbourne.
